Society for Village Development in Petrochemicals Area (SVADES) - Vadodara
SVADES has been promoted in 1995 by nine companies, including GIPCL, in Petrochemicals Complex. It is a voluntary, not-for-profit, rural development organization. It works in 16 panchayats consisting of 40 villages, with a total population of 2,00,000. It works in the areas of sanitation, approach roads, water supply, primary education, health, afforestation, income generation, community research and environmental education.
Development Efforts for Rural Economy and People (DEEP) - SLPP
DEEP undertakes various socio-economic development programmes to improve socio-economic condition of villages in and around SLPP. DEEP functions independently and professionally under the guidance of Board of Governors. Its focus areas are infrastructure and community development. Various development projects include development of natural resources, agriculture, education, income generation, village infrastructure, improvement in sanitation, protection and improvement of environment and employment prospects.
